"Have you forgotten? Are you so dumb you can't even realize a very obvious fact?"
"We have the numbers, we have no reason to fear them!"
"We have every reason to fear them, Pasarth! We may have the numbers, but those assassins are much more skilled and stronger than us. And besides, they have a very clever strategy of staying hidden."
"Which is?"
"Picking us off one by one. They're not cowards, they just don't fight needless battles but instead kill, in the cover of the night."
"Then we need to do the same - pick them off one by one like they do with us! Then we can get the big reward, and-"
"We can't kill them. I want the reward as much as you do, but they're unstoppable. Besides, they're never who you think they are."
"What do you mean?"
"..."

An unfortunate event has lead the assassin gang into the open, and a large group of bounty hunters is planning on taking them off. However, the assassins have brought more attention to the group than one would've liked, and it has grown significantly. The hunters have become the hunted, yet they still hide. Newly arisen criminal gangs take care of the bounty hunters, leaving themselves out in the open.

Xodim, however, is like no other assassin, for he possesses powers many wish they have. His main one? Shapeshifting into a black and white cat. And the last thing you remember, is his icy blue eyes right before he takes your life..

"Do you remember calling me 'mate?'" he asked softly, pushing her wild curls away from her face. She blushed deeply, but he wouldn't let her look away. "You heard that?" He nodded with a smile. "It was the first thought she ever shared with me." Skylar pursed her lips. "She likes you very much." "What about you?" he teased gently. "How do you feel about me?" She set her jaw and once again managed to look down her nose at him while staring up at him. "Well... well, I'm rather fond of you, Orion." He let out a relieved laugh and pulled her into his chest again. "What a relief. I was worried it was just me." He nuzzled her temple, inhaling deeply, his dragon fully at peace. The words "I love you" were right on the tip of his tongue, but he knew it was too soon for that. He would have to hold them in just a little while longer. "I'm fond of you, too," he whispered in her ear. <><><><><><><><> Skylar lived her life in fear. Fear of exposure, fear of herself, and fear of her future. Book 1 of the Legends Never Die series. Legend. A program designed by five previous agencies, who had banded together to create an all powerful team of agents. This was a group of the worlds strongest, smartest, and loyal people. They were sought out by Legend's commanders, split into teams of five, and trained into powerful beings. Hackers, Assassins, Combat Soldiers. They were weapons of humans, used by Legend to protect their home, communities, and people. Various programs of Legend were spread all around the world, each trained and conditioned the same. And now? Most of them were terminated. Very few stayed at Legend, and became head of the programs. Now they oversee each and every asset. Those who left, started normal lives. Found love, had children. Got office jobs or moved to a beach for retirement. But no matter how hidden, they would never be safe, and some of those agents understood that. So as Legend began to dye out, the Chiefs started contacting all former Legend agents, and proposing a new idea. A new agency. A smarter, more powerful, more compassionate and loyal agency. One that would ensure the protection of each family. Knowing that no former Legend agent would be safe on their own, they agreed to the new program. All former Legend assets and their families would return to the agency, where they would live comfortable lives. Where they would be safe. The children of those former agents were raised into the new program. Assessed by members of their families and head of the agency. Once old enough to be evaluated on their skills, they were split into teams of five, and trained just like their parents. More powerful than their parents ever were, at even younger ages. Each of them became, a Legacy. Follow the story of Legacy's strongest group of young agents through character point of views, development, and conflict.

Carter had been watching everything. He watched as his brother leaped at the Panther to protect him. He had watched as the anger had burnt out Max, and he had gotten control over the blade. He watched as his brother had been nearly killed by the monster. But he could do nothing but watch as the dark figure jumped at Carter. But he didn't kill him as Carter had first suspected. Instead he transformed mid-air and grabbed the bird before it took flight. And Brandon appeared behind him when Max and Carter landed on the ground. "Carter! Shift. He just wants answers and help. You have to shift." What Brandon said let Max get up and release the large bird. Carter didn't waste a second. He jumped up and flew away from Max, shifting into an Owl in air. Max watched as the shifting figure stuck its feet ahead of him. When he landed Carter was at the weapons rack, and pulling a red bow from the wall. "Where's the Lioness?" Carter said, as he turned around. "Right here," and Carter followed the sound to find a girl with waist length hair and red eyes. She sat on one of the electronic tables, and was hard to see, even with Carter's increased night vision. Without another word, he tossed her the bow and watched as she caught it. He watched as she hopped off the table and quietly walked around him and the scientists. He noticed a brooding figure approach Brandon out of the corner of his eye. "Okay, what would you like to know?" He said, acting like he was in charge. But Max smiled and replied. "Not here." GUYS! This has not been edited at all, so it is super choppy. I will repost the story after I edit it though.

Book #3 in The Fire series BLAKE RIVERA "You're the leader of a gang." Aiden yells. I look up at him. "You don't think I know that?" I yell back. "I am doing everything I can to protect my people!" "Your people are being murdered. You're in a war you don't even know is happening." "I know what's going on out there. I know what's happening." "Then why aren't you doing anything to stop it?" I slam my hands on the desk and stand up. "I am doing everything I can!" I yell anger laced in my voice as it flowed through my veins. Suddenly the lights went out; a flashing red light comes on as alarms sound. "You need to do more." Aiden says. "Otherwise this. It's never going to stop." "They're attacking." I realize. "They're always attacking. And they're not going to stop until we're dead." "Or surrender." I mumble and Aidens head snaps up to look at me. "You won't. You can't." "No, what I can't do is kill Felix." "The man you loved isn't there anymore. Can't you see that? He's gone. A monster wears his skin. What's it going to take before you realize that?" I shake my head. "Evacuate. Make sure everyone gets out of here. No one dies today." "Well, someone should. And we both know who it needs to be." Aiden says before he leaves the room. I know Aiden is right, but I can't kill Felix, even if he keeps trying to kill me. I shake my head and sit back down. Just because everyone else was leaving didn't mean I had to also. Maybe I can talk some sense into him. I sigh. I've tried to already, but maybe this time it will be different. Maybe I should tell him the truth. Maybe I should tell him Nadia is his daughter. The door to my planning room is thrown open but I stay seated. I look up as men flood into the room, soon followed by Felix. His emotionless eyes find mine and he cocks his gun. "You should have run with the others."
