"Have you forgotten? Are you so dumb you can't even realize a very obvious fact?"
"We have the numbers, we have no reason to fear them!"
"We have every reason to fear them, Pasarth! We may have the numbers, but those assassins are much more skilled and stronger than us. And besides, they have a very clever strategy of staying hidden."
"Which is?"
"Picking us off one by one. They're not cowards, they just don't fight needless battles but instead kill, in the cover of the night."
"Then we need to do the same - pick them off one by one like they do with us! Then we can get the big reward, and-"
"We can't kill them. I want the reward as much as you do, but they're unstoppable. Besides, they're never who you think they are."
"What do you mean?"
"..."

An unfortunate event has lead the assassin gang into the open, and a large group of bounty hunters is planning on taking them off. However, the assassins have brought more attention to the group than one would've liked, and it has grown significantly. The hunters have become the hunted, yet they still hide. Newly arisen criminal gangs take care of the bounty hunters, leaving themselves out in the open.

Xodim, however, is like no other assassin, for he possesses powers many wish they have. His main one? Shapeshifting into a black and white cat. And the last thing you remember, is his icy blue eyes right before he takes your life..

This is the story of heroes. And speaking of heroes, Karasu. Ahh, Karasu-the guy running this whole glorious shitshow of chaos like it's a goddamn parade. And yes, Karasu? By all accounts, he's a hero: (Villain rambles about his tragic-ass backstory.) "Fuck your sob story, and fuck your tragic journey." ...But like that kind of hero. His philosophy is mercilessly simple: prune the rot before it spreads. Slaughter, in his vocabulary, is a maintenance task. He aims to reduce the population of malignant assholes to a reasonable percentage. If you're asking for nuance-there isn't any. Power attracts carrion. Karasu knows this; that magnet pulls in every lickspittle and cosmic scavenger within shouting distance. His timetable is brutal: kill enough of them to make the world marginally less disgusting before some other ambitious corpse hunter puts him six feet under. He'd prefer to avoid that eventuality, but fate underestimates him. But right now? He is hunting warriors. And yes, theoretically, he could personally administer some genocidal type of vengeance himself. But reality check: Karasu is an anti-social, loose fucking cannon, and guess what? He's got zero fucks left to distribute. That's not a problem... until it is. And right now, it is. The world is literally going to hell at approximately the speed of light... think goon squads, motorcycle gangs, warlords, and doomsday cults-and Karasu's just standing there like, "Not today, you shit-for-brains motherfuckers." See, these psychos have been running Mortal Kombat-style death matches-solo, duo, or full group suicides, whatever makes your blood boil. Nobody sane signs up for it, but guess who's not sane? Right. Karasu's plan: sign up, show up, kill everyone, go home. Efficient. Sustainable. Very on brand. And right now, he needs to find people to join with him. Should be simple enough...ha. Targets logged. Chaos loading.

The MCIA investigates magic-related crimes, and Squad Zero is the best team in the business. Much to their bosses' dismay, the key to their success is that they also never follow the plan. But this time, their trickshot ways and snap decisions may not be enough. A conspiracy is unraveling, one that may extend past the gang violence that permeates the South, all the way up to the feds and beyond. Seven cold cases, seven missing kids, and seven expert assassins for the Mythica, wealthy gangsters straight from hell who have their claws dug into everything. Eros Warner has a secret people are willing to kill for. In the wrong hands, his magic is a weapon powerful enough to rock the very foundation of the world as society knows it. His greatest aspiration is to live a life as normal and boring as possible, which is going great until a foreign soldier tries to assassinate him in the night. The faster his secret spreads, the more danger he's in, and his father, the president of the United States, is running out of options. The Mythica Seven kill because it is all they have ever known. Raised in the organization since they were children, their routine is train, eat, sleep, repeat. They lean on no one but each other, and they've always had insurance as long as they've been the most valuable assets in the organization, but things are shifting. The next generation is training, too. And now they face a new assignment ──── one that's nothing like what they've ever done before. Eros asked for 'normal'. He got a security detail of professional assassins and a black eye. Close enough. ⚠️ RATED MATURE: This story deals fairly intimately with sensitive topics like emotional trauma, addiction, trafficking, murder, gun violence, physical mutilation, and (fantasy) race discrimination. There is mild body horror present, and innocent people do get killed.

This is a babtqftim x Reader thing. Idk I just got interested. However! There will be some heavy differences since I am including two new Characters! Y/N (You) and her best friend Eclipse. (I included myself bc I wanted to.) Background- Y/N is a beautiful young women who was always interested in adventure, she always enjoyed reading novels about adventure, and watching TV about people with Adventures. She always told Eclipse how she wanted to go on an adventure of a lifetime. She would get in trouble when she would run away to find that adventure but Eclipse always saved her and brought her home safely. Her and Eclipse had never been separated. Eclipse- Eclipse is a Wolf with a terrifying secret that she hasn't told anyone. Not even Y/N. However, one thing that is obvious, she is very protective of Y/N. She cares deeply since she was kicked out of her original pack after her parents died. She told Y/N that was the reason why she was kicked, but that wasn't the full truth. She always accompanied Y/N during her little "Adventures" as children but now they are grown up and she's only become more protective. One day something strange happened. Y/N and Eclipse had met a group of people going on a quest. When one of them start flirting with Y/N, Eclipse gets defensive and ends up getting hurt. After some explanation there is a deal. To make it fair Y/N suggested that her and Eclipse get to go on the quest and help them. Eclipse is suspicious but seeing the excitement on Y/N's face made her agree anyways.

I hear the clanking of metal loud and rigid from behind me, I feel the wind rush past as I sprint, they are still chasing me. I'll be honest I don't know what to do, quite frankly it's hard to think straight right now. I feel my body shutting down as the adrenaline is losing its punch, I can't run any faster. I'm always running, they are always chasing me. I don't even know why they chase me, I don't know what I did and like them they won't say. Do they even know? Am I just unlucky? Someone they picked at random to be the new subject of there torture? I wont let it happen. That's why I'll stay free, never fully contained. I think about the one I love, Charlie. I don't know where he is, I don't even know if he is safe. "Hey! Weapon down sarge, we don't want to kill her!" A guard's shout smacks me out of my train of thought. By this point I've gained some distance due to them having heavy armour. This stops me in my tracks though, I hear the guards slow down too. I stop, I realise, they want me alive. They aren't going to kill me, they don't want me dead. I have a gun, if I just point it at myself what are they going to do? I turn around and I look at all of the guards who have stopped in their tracks heaving in confusion. It's silent, even the wind is merely a whisper, all that can be heard is the panting of everyone on scene. They want me alive, they want me alive. I turn around, towards my chasers. I notice the guards straighten as I do so, instinctively I hold my gun to my neck, one bullet left, not enough for all of them but enough to kill me. They don't want me dead. I look to see all of them freeze in shock before one of the guards takes a step forward. I can't see their face, I can't see anyone's face but I feel like I need to know who this is. Before I can react they raise their gun and shoot. Pain explodes in my leg and I fall, all that running, for nothing. All I see now is black, I can't hear everything but I still feel conscious.
