Life for Torin Porter was never anything special or extraordinary. She's has had her fair share of ups and downs like any regular person should. As she starts her freshmen year at Midtown Tech with her best friend Peter Parker and their close friends, things are as expected. She meets new people, deals with a bully, and works her hardest in school in hopes it'll all pay off one day.

Of course, living in a city where a superhero is constantly fighting a big bad guy and wrecking everything in sight is nothing special to New York or Torin Porter.

However, nothing ever stays simple and easy forever. Especially not in New York. So when a simple spider bite turns Torin's world upside down, literally and figuratively. She has to figure out how to handle this great responsibility while also trying to handle all the things that life throws at her. It's not so bad with her best friend by her side to help her along the way, but when New York City needs saving from someone terrorizing Torin and Peter's friends and the rest of New York City in a green suit, the two new heroes know that spells trouble.
