The justice league ( based off of the justice league unlimited show) and the kids- young justice league (based off of the Young Justice ahow) have to work together to face threats unimaginable but for the teens it is a case of wanting freedom and trust. For the adults it is more than that, it is doing what is right and saving the world in order to do so. They are trying to help guide the teens and give them their own bit of independence but at every turn their trust is broken.
After receiving a call about kids the league go to help, but at the cost of some of their own.

Sequel to Cracks: A young Justice fanfiction After Wally, Artemis, and Robin are rescued, you'd think things would go back to normal. So they sat there, chained and restrained in their chairs, wearily watching him as silent tears fell to the floor and mixed in with the red of their fallen friends. Jason had been walking for nearly twenty-four hours and his hopes for finding anyone in the cave alive were dwindling with each second. But he had gone and done the noble thing, he had gotten help.
