It's the hard work, effort, confidence, and team leader that keeps Aria Woods insane when she goes into work having a new crime to face. Woods is one of the best female police officers in Multnomah, and she doesn't let any criminal get in the way of her locking them up.

Woods lives with her best friend Joy who happens to be the tech nerd for the same police station. This girl duo helps capture the bad guys, and bring more estrogen to the team filled with testosterone.

But then Shawn Rhodes, a new addition to Multnomah Police Department (MPD) is assigned to be Woods new partner. She is one to not let anything or anyone get in the way of her job, but the attractivness of her new partner seems to be distracting her. She can't let anyone get to her, she doesn't want a repeat of Brandon.

As cases fly by, her partnership with Shawn become stronger, but there's something about him that's. . . different. It can't be the way he's always late to work, yet doesn't get scolded by the chief. It's not they way his hair always stands up perfectly. But what is it?

After the tragedy with Brandon, she needs to let go, and heal. But can Shawn be the one to pick up the pieces and leave room for himself?
