18+ AGE YALL. THERES ADULT THEMES FAM AND ILL FIGHT.

There's a stereotype about small-town girls. The ones that grew up on dirt roads in towns with populations in the hundreds. They marry quick and young. You'll find them near their hearth in long skirts with rounded stomachs, cooking dinner to the feel of the floorboards beneath bare feet.

I'm a small-town girl, but I don't fall into that stereotype. However, I can tell you that stereotypes exist for a reason. You'd just never guess the reason for Crossroads, Ohio.

A sinful name for a town, really. You'd think they'd have chosen something a little less haunting. Maybe that caused it. Or maybe it caused that. No one around here is really sure anymore. We only know what we know. And, nobody talks about it -openly at least. It isn't good form.

But mommas warn their daughters in the dark of the night, warn them from the boogie man, the witches, the wolves, and the dark-eyed men.

Sons take dark-eyed wives bed,
Through them, the line is interbred,
Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen.
Yet, fathers, mothers, brothers; kin,
Shame the girls who fall for dark eyed men.

The Angel Effect

20 parts Complete

Elaine has always known what she's wanted. But when too-happy Minjae smashes her bike with his car, she isn't so sure anymore. ⋇⋆✦⋆⋇ Elaine, established and comfortable with her life as a university student, sees no need to venture out of her bubble. After all, she has to focus on her studies. But as the Angels, a group of contemporary dancers, drag her into spontaneity, and as one dancer in particular, Minjae digs up past memories Elaine wants to forget, her intricately-planned world begins to fade away. Elaine must learn to trust those who love her, and that maybe, a little chaos is just what she needs. belovedsun © 2021
