Nikki Riley is the daughter of Olivia Riley and the granddaughter of Chris Riley who were both professional surfers and made it big, but didn't go through with it. She thought since she was related to both of them that surfing would be in her blood while she thought wrong; she isn't that good at all.
She never thought her life could get any worse until.... she found out she was adopted. Her life came crashing down. Her mom decided to send her from her life in Kill Devil Hills, N.C and go live with her grandfather in Oahu, Hawaii so far away. She just wanted to get away from everything. Her grandfather shows her that it's not about blood, it's about heart. And no matter who puts you down you can choose to get back up and fight for it.
When she moves there she trains to prove people wrong. Along the way she meets a friend, Brooke Johnson, a cute guy Parker Reynolds, and some enemies, too, Gabriella Hathaway, and Eleanor Gray-who are also surfers, too. She has to go against them in the competition to show that she has what it takes. But can she really prove it?
