Mysticum Creaturae teenager Cecilia Eryx, must hide her 'non-good' powers at Madri Preparatory for the Mystical, a school meant to help divine students perfect their powers for the 'good' of mankind. The Madri school focuses on specializing in luck, intervention, miracles, etc. The rival school Avalon Preparatory for the Mystical focuses on specializing in karma, sin, illness, etc. It has always been her dream to work as Rank III for the angel Gabriel through Madri but after a premonition the night before her first day at Madri she realizes her destiny is Rank I for Lucifer through Avalon. How long will she be able to hide her imminent transformation from her family and friends? Will she sacrifice everything for a dream or will she sacrifice herself?
In short, Eryx, Rank I is a coming of age story with a mystical twist via a teen girl's blog postings.
