Based off of the lyrics of Imagine Dragons: Radioactive

Dominic wakes up dazed and confused smack dab in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. It all began after the war of 2080 when a bomb of mass destruction went off and let lose a massive amount of radioactive particles. The particles began to bring back all the dead soldiers turning them into a zombie revolution. Dominic is now forced into an after war he never signed up for. The question is: Will he survive?

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Carisa's been running for her life the past two years. Loosing her loved ones and anyone she grows close to. The apocalypse was caused by an alien raise coming to earth and proclaiming they'll fix the planet. Their way to 'fix' it being destroying humanity with a plague. However they didn't expect the human body to be as persistent as it is, the infection they spread mutating and making humans reanimate with a hunger for flesh. They thought they could contain it, control it even, but it's spreading faster than they thought. The world is dying faster than ever before. And Carisa only want to survive, to make it to the next day, bumping into an Alien she thought she'd be petrified. But upon further inspection... their not that much different that humans. Curiosity at its peek with both of them and so she gains a tail always creeping behind her. The aliens just won't let her go. Story is written on my free time so it has a lot of typos, sorry. When the Sun Begins to Die by Thatonefnaflover

Seventeen year old Cadence Buds is a normal teenager in a dying world. Well, the world isn't dying, but the sun is. It has been dying for several years now, but the effects are finally starting to come about. The sun has even been changing color. The government has been working on a plan to save a portion of the human population for quite some time. There are so many problems with the sun dying. The oceans will evaporate from the inevitable explosion, everything will be dark and nothing will be able to grow, the world will freeze over, everything will be destroyed. The sun is also giving off toxic radiation while it dies, making the world especially dangerous. The government's solution to this problem is to build a radiation proof dome over a large area. There will be synthetic heat, light, and seasons. The cost to enter such an oasis is very expensive. It is hundreds of thousands of dollars per ticket. However, there is another way to get in. Once the sun dies many will die with it. It might even vaporize part of the planet in its blast. No one knows for sure. But the world will need a larger population. You can earn your place in the dome if you agree to have a child to save the human race. This obviously only applies to women. Now remember Cadence? He is biologically female. He has been on testosterone for two years and is trying to transition in this world. Unfortunately that is horribly expensive where he lives. His family however is more focused on saving their lives from the dying sun. His parents had just enough money to afford his sister a ticket. She could not have children because she was barren. Cadence however could have children if he wished, but he didn't. Having a child meant undoing all of his hard work. He is told that in order to survive that he must have a child within the next two years. Two years is a long time, but he never wanted to have children. What will Cadence do once his two years have come to an end?
