Following the events of the Third Shinobi War, the world as it was known began to recover from the chaos. Progress was slow, and as the minor squabbles along the borders of each nation threatened to turn into something greater, treaties were created to maintain the illusion of peace for just a little longer. However, stability and harmony did not make it to everywhere: the substantial damage done by the mayhem created more than simple breeding grounds for pain and hatred. With the end of the War barely a decade in the past, those who stray from their Hidden Villages for their own purposes become known as Missing-nin, and are more than often the cause of many more troubles to come. As the Akatsuki gain infamy on the Underground businesses and a new generation develops, many old heroes and shinobi became forgotten in time. As more is revealed about the unknown, it becomes clear that some memories of past deeds were never meant to be abandoned.

This story follows the life of Senpū Tsukiko, the last heir to the Senpū clan; a clan whose members have been scattered throughout the Elemental countries. Her goals in life are to reunite her clan and one day solve all the hidden mysteries surrounding Uzushiogakure, where her ancestors once inhabited. But as her journey progresses, meeting new individuals, more and more secrets and mysteries are unveiled, and surviving becomes harsher in the shinobi-run land.
