Laykn Anderson finally finished off her last year of the college life, now she's heading back home to take care of her mom around the house. Her father had died two years ago in a tragic car accident leaving her mom on her own in the house with Laykn off at college.
When she comes home it's not all rainbows and sunshine (Even though her mom tries to make it that way). One night while Laykn is out with some old friends her mothers house gets robbed. A tragic accident ends up wrong when her mother is found dead.
To flee the pain, and the guilt she feels Laykn heads to Equestrian Sanctuary where she accepted a job the month before graduation to work for the Bennington's.
A home for horses that are being saved, and it might be the one place where Laykn can be saved with the help of the ranch owner's son Braxton. She has to save herself while facing the demons that are in her past, and the ones that changed her life.

Rose finally realizes that she can do this alone, she's going to need help from her father to help her get back on and also have help from the new cute boy, Austin who's helping for his community service. At first he doesn't want to be there, but eventually finds a reason to stay. Rose has had a good life up until the day of the accident, but now she's got to face loss, and heartbreak, but she's got to learn to get back in the race. This story holds romance, family, trust, understanding the past, and conquering your fears. *Read to find out more, I know it may sound boring from the description, but it's really not.
