About 1.5 billion years ago, the single-celled eukaryotes became the common ancestors of all multicellular plants, animals, and fungi. Fish evolved a primitive lung sac and four limbs, 350 million years ago, so they could crawl between fresh water swamps. About 250 million years ago, the ancestors of all mammals, were tiny nocturnal insectivores and, about 6 million years ago, we began walking on two legs. The most recent Ice Age (2.6 million to 12,000 years ago), severely reduced rainfall in Africa, where Homo habilis was evolving. In Homo erectus (1.9 to 0.5 million years ago), cranial capacity increased to between 850 and 1000 cm3 implying the phenomenal increase of 125,000 more neurons with each generation. Between 70 and 50 thousand years ago, Homo sapiens spread out from east Africa. Then, about 20,000 years ago, evolution made a sharp change in direction. After 250 million years, we ceased to be hunter gatherers. The Neolithic Revolution meant we could never go back. WHO THE HELL ARE WE? is a series of short books and videos describing the evolution of civilization. Almost everyone on the planet is five times wealthier than their ancestors only 50 years ago. This astonishing phenomenon has also improved health, education, and longevity. The cause; an explosive growth in ideas and productivity. It began when we learned to control fire, evolved articulate speech and stumbled onto the way to create infinite wealth; free trade. The discovery of agriculture made us richer but we also learned how to destroy wealth. Great civilization grew up but then disappeared leaving only incredible ruins and ideas. Later books detail some of the ideas and developments that increased the average life span from about 40 years to more than 80 and the average world income from less than $3 to more than $33 per person per day (and to $140 per day in some countries).

Ehi stood still as rage filled her,Osanobwa (God) has granted her a second chance and she would damn her soul to the very depths of hell if she didn't use it right. "I am ready",she stated. The duchess smirked as she walked out of the room, nodding at the guard to announce Ehi's arrival. Here comes the celebrant of this glorious night, the butler announced, "LADY EHI MCNIGHTTON OF WILLSHIRE,niece and heir to the DUCHESS OF WILLSHIRE!!!" The giant doors opened wide, bright lights seeping from the ball room, shining directly on her as everyone stood still. Her eyes void of all emotions,a stiff smile on her lips, she walked slowly into her new chapter. Captured from a small village in the times when slave trade thrived in Africa.Enslaved in a new country,Ehi has to learn love and survival in the most gruesome way. When she didn't think life could throw anymore surprises,a certain Duke crossed her path. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ NOTE~~~~~~~~~~ A little history never hurts anyone right?? It's mostly about the history on the slavery of the Edo people in Nigeria during the colonial times. Basically this book (Ehi),is a fictional representation of slavery during the colonial times. I really hope you enjoy and learn alot about my maternal history from it💜. *************** This book is currently undergoing editing. I take full responsibility for all the errors. This book follows an African American boy as he wonders over into the white community something not usually done. Considering that during the year 1830's New York was severely divided into pocket communities helping keep the oppressed oppressed, since they would live in cramped apartment buildings with other families while the rich lived in manors. While the immigrants worked in factories the rich turned towards investments. Matthews~ (African American) 6 years old and on the street. I watch the other children get handed bread. I watch them get taken into the homes made for children like us. My clothes are tattered and torn. I go to bed underneath boxes or in garbage cans to stay warm. Annabelle~ 20 years old, the daughter of a noble getting ready for another social event. I walk with the other women who are ahead of me. They are giggling and talking about the recent engagements, the recent social gatherings, the recent investments that potential suitors have made, yet I am simply not interested. I would rather get a job. I want to get down and dirty. Daniel~ 21 years old, a nobleman that owns quite a few acres of land for farming. Father finally died. Leaving the estate to me. I will now be able to rent out the land instead of having father put outrageous buying prices on the damn property. No one can afford them in today's day in age. Not to mention that once the property is divided up into the sectors with their own little cottages we could have our own little self-sufficient economy if I play my cards right. No, my father ever the man he was decided it was too much of a risk. Well you can roll over in your grave. I never did like him. *Warning: There may be some harsh scenes while Matthews are on the streets, and scenes that deal with death. Please be aware of this as you read. # in Historical Fiction as of: 931~ 7/14/17 302~ 7/22/17 288~ 7/24/17
