Even The Shadows Can Shine (Book One)

The world is split into two dimensions, the Living and the Non-Living realm. The Non-Living realm is split between the Realm of Light and the Realm of Shadows. The Shadow Realm is full of horrific monsters, vengeful spirits, and even beings that hold divine power. Once every month, the moon seems to disappear, and the portal between the Living and the Shadow Realm is opened. On October 13th, 2258, the world has undergone war among itself, and the people of the Living Realm have been forced to revert back to the ways of the Medieval Ages due to the shortage of resources. Even the government reverts back to the days of monarchy due to the crumble of the world. Seven years after this tragedy, the portal reopens and a demon child is left behind in the Living Realm after a raid by it's race. A peasant family raises this seemingly human child under no knowledge of his true identity. As time goes on, he will learn of his strange powers, and be forced to make a decision. Fight for the Living Realm (The place where he was raised), or fight for his birth realm (The realm that gave birth to his existence along with his true parents).
