It's 1954 and Sawyer Hill is a pure Arizonian at heart. But when her scientist parents make the split, Her father, twin brother Dustin, and Sawyer move to the small town of Damariscotta, Main. She decides to leave behind her nerdy ways and she becomes the most popular girl in Lincoln Academy.

4 years pass when Sawyer realizes she misses her old nerdy self, she solves her father's scientific equation. When her senior class visits her father's lab, Sawyer and her entire class soon disappear.

Sawyer wakes up in 2923 with no memory of her past. She meets hundreds of young people who have 'gone under' and they treat her with fame as she is the legendary first person to go under in a cyronic machine, freezing them for more than 800 years.

Except there is one man, who seems to acknowledge her uncertainty and lack of knowledge. Then she meets only two people who are from her time. Was she meant to be here? Or does Avalon Sanctuary have more to them than meets the eye?
