Sir Reginal Hargreeves adopted 7 of them leaving 36 to grow up on their own. The 7 adopted babies were to be raised to be superheroes and save the world. Sir Reginald named their home The Umbrella Academy.
But what happens when baby number eight is dropped off at the front gate?
