Many DAI fanfictions are retellings of the Inquisitor's experience. This is not that. I borrow the Dragon Age Inquisition setting to tell you a story about destiny, identity, betrayal, and love.
Meet Maeva, a young elven woman from lots of places, an old friend of Varric's from her time in Kirkwall. He recruits her and thus she witnesses the Inquisition and lives at Skyhold during the main events of DAI. She meets and observes all the characters and dips in on some canon stories, with focus on Lavellan and Solas, and others to varying degrees of non-canon facets. Meanwhile Maeva is going through some odd changes, such as strange dreams that begin to control her during unconscious hours. Mystery and adventure, both about the Inquisition members as well as her own origin, beg her attention.
This story continues past DAI, seeking truth for Maeva and closure for Lavellan, and hopefully resolving some of the issues the game left in its wake (like my broken heart).

DISCONTINUED!!! ---------------------- What if Solas couldn't stay as cool and collected as he wanted to? "What is the old Dalish curse? 'May the Dread Wolf take you?'" "And so he did." ---------------- Disclaimer: This is a fanfiction about the protagonist and Solas from the popular fantasy RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition, so all credit to Bioware where it is due. It is also heavy in SPOILERS for both the main storyline and the Trespasser DLC. For the purpose of this fanfiction, my canon Inquisitor Vala Lavellan will be courting our beloved Dread Wolf. All of the screenshots are also mine. Their story will begin after the mission In Your Heart Shall Burn, and much of the dialogue and content is taken directly from the game. I'm also open to feedback as this is my first ever publication! To all my fellow Solasmancers burning in Solavellan Hell... I feel your pain. I can't wait for the reunion in Dragon Age: The Veilguard!Complete

Herald of Shadow
Why me? I was no one, a Dalish mage sent to spy on the shems Conclave. I wasn't fit to lead anyone! Yet, with the breach threatening the world and so much of what happened missing from my memory I had to stay. I had to fight. A slow burn Cullen/Lavellan Inquisitor fanfic. Disclaimer: I do not own Dragon Age or it's characters! I am also taking quite a bit of freedom with the story, so things will be a bit different but the overall plot will be the same.Complete
The Enchanter and The Lion
Senior Enchanter Maeve Trevelyen had wanted change for the Circles of Magi, but not at the cost of all out war. She went to the Divine's Conclave to try, yet again, to be a voice of reason. She instead found herself the bearer of a strange magical mark that could save all of Thedas - if it didn't get her killed first. ***Disclaimer***I absolutely love Dragon Age Inquisition and Bioware, so I wanted to take a stab at telling a version of the DAI story through the eyes of my character. I followed their storyline for it for the most part, so if you haven't played the game A) WTF are you waiting for - go do it now! and B) don't read this until after you do cause...spoilers. It goes without saying that the story and characters are the intellectual property of Bioware/EA.Complete
