Five years ago the world fell to the beasts.

First the zombies, then the freeze, and now there's nobody left, or so Kennedy and Chuck think. Blessed with superpowers, they're relatively safe from the horrors beyond. But they're being pursued and have nowhere to go but forward.

Kennedy and Chuck have escaped their captor, and are now on the run, in the abandoned and iced over Pacific Northwest. They're searching for a new home and a place to bunker down, only warmed by each other's company. With the ever present danger of zombies and Frank close on their trail, they need to find a new way to survive. They're lost and scared, and have nothing but questions for where to go from here, and how they've been able to survive for so long. Will Frank catch up to them? Will they survive the winter? Or, like the rest of the world, will they perish, cold and alone?

They WILL survive They CAN survive They SHOULD survive And they do it TOGETHER... or not... a part from the book: I kill one with my ice axe and pull my gun out to shoot another coming close. 1... 2... I pull my ice axe out of the head of the zombie I just killed and put my gun back in, to immediately reach for my knife, and directly throwing at a Z. 3... We continue killing. 4... 5... 6... I hear them all breath heavily. 7... Shit, my arm starts hurting, but I can't stop, or else I get killed. Since a young age Francesca has taken up the role of being a motherly figure for not only her own self, but her younger brother, Max, since her mothers passing. Since the infamous disease, Beutionus, has spread over the world, Francesca's life has taken a turn. Even though her state has been secured off, some people whom are infected somehow seem to sneak in and rise havoc. The infected are no longer considered humane, they crave flesh and have all taken an animalistic side, resorting to eating and devouring anything with a heart beat. No compassion, no empathy. No remembrances of their past life. When Francesca's state is found to no longer be secure, she finds her and her family, far past the "safe" borders to which the President has proclaimed. What dangerous fate will Francesca be tossed into?

But when push comes to shove, when you're barely alive and should be dead, the people who you don't know may just save you. Surviving without enemies is hard enough. But when the past comes back to haunt and enemies come to fight, the apocalypse may just become almost impossible to survive. Brains and brawn may not be enough. It takes heart to make it day to day. They knew it would be hard. They didn't know it would be next to impossible to survive. This is a story my friend and I wrote together. It took us about a year to complete. Comments would be great to see so we know if something needs to be fixed or if it's a good story.
