The world of Pokemon is vast, with a variety of regions, and hundreds of different pokemon. Some pokemon even come in different colors, though it is extremely rare due to it being a genetic anomaly. It's considered similar to traits like heterochromia or albinoism.

Alex Frost is a boy who has heterochromia, but unlike pokemon who are admired for their rare colors, sometimes coveted, Alex has had some harsh encounters because of it, combined with naturally being pale with light hair. He's not albino, but he prefers the moonlight to burning under the sun. He finds comfort in the presence of pokemon to people, and has had a less than preferable home life. Considering this, the chance to become a pokemon trainer was a dream come true, though due to fragile health he wasn't allowed to begin his journey until he was 15 instead of 10. His health still has occasional fluctuations, but now his team is there to help him.

However, what happens when he encounters someone who actually enjoys his unique appearance? Naturally he's hesitant to believe it at first, but his team all seem comfortable with this stranger as well, even the most protective members.
