As always many actors along with politicians are also joining politics as well. Now the name of the famous actress Urmila Matondkar has also been added. Urmila Matondkar is going to join the Congress party now. Mumbai Congress President Milind Deora informed about the involvement of Urmila Matondkar.

Urmila will go to Delhi today to join Congress party. After accepting membership, the party can declare Urmila as its candidate from North Mumbai. If Urmila becomes Congress candidate from this seat, then she will be contested by MP Gopal Shetty. This seat is considered as a stronghold of the BJP, in such a situation it may be difficult to glove Gopal Shetty in front of Urmila.
Voting is going to be held on April 29 in the fourth phase for Mumbai's 6 Lok Sabha seats and on this day 17 other Lok Sabha seats will be cast for the same day. Before Urmila Matondkar, there was talk of many other major cinematic stars such as Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, But they have refused to campaign. Congress President Rahul Gandhi has congratulated Urmila for joining Congress party. He also felicitated them with a bouquet.
