4 Years earlier...
A girl named Lucy is new in the second grade, but luckily she makes friends fast, including her new BFF's Grace and Matt. They all go through many ups and downs together, throughout their childhoods. Like the summer of 6th grade when Lucy, her little brother Miles (5 year old), and her parents are on their way to Timmy's (her older brother) big football game. Little do they expect to get in a car accident on their way because of a drunk. Most of them get hurt, but one of them dies.
Together, the 2 best friends help Lucy through it all over the years, especially Matt cause he knows Lucy better than anyone else, including Grace. Grace probably would've been the closer friend, but Matt is the neighbor next door & Lucy likes boys a little more 'cause they're less dramatic.
See what happens with the three best friends. Will Lucy & Matt ever be more than friends? Or does Lucy have her eyes set on someone else? And will Lucy & Grace stay friends? Read & find out.

"This is my girlf—" I paused giving Day a look, the expression on my face turned blank. "This is my bestfriend."
----------------------------------------------
"Cameron," Day said, giving me a cold, hard glare. "You're my bestfriend, not my boyfriend."
----------------------------------------------
Day and Cameron have known each other since Day was 6 and Cameron was 7. They met when Cameron moved in across the street. Peyton is another one of Day's bestfriends who doesn't trust Cameron.
