aman has spent his whole life in new york. he's never known life outside of the city craze. the rush of yellow taxis and the smell of new york has defined him since he was five. but when his father loses his job, he's starting to realize that maybe the city isn't always kind. faced with the fear of returning back to india; aman throws himself into his college work only making time to sneer at the new pakistani girl with eyes so green they could probably do photosynthesis. ~ in an effort to get away from her shaadi-crazed family, mihir yusuf boards a flight to new york in hopes of getting at least 4 years to herself in university before her family catches up to her. she focuses on her courses and only looks up to scowl at the boy who sits next to her, who, she can't help but notice, distinctly smells of pastries.
