For Ashton Meldune, life was never simple. Her parents disappeared when she was younger and later turned up dead. At 21, she is a struggling college student who can only take night classes and is constantly haunted by visions of her past. To make matters worse, she had been having visions of a mystery man ever since she was sixteen. Her heart beat quickens, chest gets tight, and desire radiates off her body every time. Nate was a pretty simple guy at first. Most vampire kings start out normal. We he was turned at twenty three, over nine hundred years ago, he lead a wonderful life with a wife and child. Of course, we all know what happens when a new vampire awakens. Now Nathaniel lives alone, haunted by the memories of how he murdered his wife and only child, plagued with the visions of this goddess, who he feels is destined to be his queen. Oh, and also preparing for the battle of the century against his evil brethren and all who side with them. Nothing really important.
