When teenaged, artistic, orphaned Emi gets struck by lightning, she wakes up as a Night Fury in the once-fictional world of  the Viking Hiccup and his dragon Toothless. Emi, now called Paintsplash, finds that a broken wing brings her to the inside life of the Berkians, but mainly Toothless. A dark story is revealed to her, the horrific memories of Hiccup and Astrid are exposed, and Paintsplash learns of her past, in a way she had never, ever dreamed of.....

On the island of Dumais, a baby was sent across the sea as her homeland was engulfed by war. A woman, rather a mother, traveled with the baby girl. The two sailed across stormy seas before landing on an island called Berk. This island is were the baby grew and found herself with mixed feelings for the dragon beast and for a certain boy, rather the Chiefs son. Only things don't turn out the way she thought after that one night.
