Minah had never had a real home before. Or a real family. Or friends. She's always had nothing, constantly being taken advantage of due to what she was.

"Human Rights" never seemed to apply to her. After all, she wasn't really human in the first place. "Animal Rights" didn't protect her either, since she wasn't necessarily an animal.

Caught in between, used and abused by strangers, unloved and broken, all she wanted was for her life to come to an end.

That's when he came into her life. Providing her food and shelter, loving her unconditionally, caring for her in a way no one else ever had. But that was her animal form.

With a new home and a loving companion, she could never show her human form. She could never let him see the real her for fear of being rejected, called a freak, and cast back into the darkness in which he had saved her from.
