We didn't think it was anything. It could have been the common cold. It was October after all, and with the seasons changing, nothing indicated that this year would be different, or that this month would be different, or that this day would be different.... but it was. One single day was all it took to change the world forever.
A minor cold would be what sent the world spiraling into the apocalypse.
No one was prepared for this and now all we have left are each other. But something tells me that that won't last long either.
All we can do now is try to survive this new world.
But as more and more of the world I once knew descends into chaos, there is almost nothing left. The horrible, unbelievable, catastrophic truth of it all is that here is something else at the top of the food chain now, and we have found ourselves at the very bottom.

In the words of a great philosopher; there is no limit to the gruesome and grotesque things we are willing to do in the name of survival. While reading this; Remember that not everything is as it seems. Remember that loved characters will die. Remember that the world will gradually get worse as the parts go on. Take a moment to ask yourselves these questions: What would you do in the name of survival? Would you steal to survive? Would you kill to survive? Would you lose your mind to survive? If you lost your mind, do you think you'd kill more, steal, injure, backstab, rape or any other atrocity you can think of? If you can think of it, then maybe you would. The characters and situations in this book are very real, if gore or horrific mental images scare you, then I wouldn't recommend reading far. DESCRIPTION: The Infection claimed the lives of over 3 billion people before the TV's went off. But it would claim many more. The problem didn't arise when those people got up and started walking again, or even when they started eating and infecting others, it began when people got desperate. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Yesterday, the world was normal with its own conflicts. The next, millions get sick, hospitals are overwhelmed, and any sort of space was converted into a makeshift hospital to handle all the sick. On day 2 the sick died and awoke attacking the living. I tried to get out of the city, but the military closed off every major access point and now I'm trapped within, along with millions of undead.
