Seventeen year old Katherine (Kate) Hart lived in the bad part of the state. Eighteen year old Stryder O'Brien lived in the good part. One day when a sudden fire destroys everything, Fred Hart's old friend Lee O'Brien invites them to live in his mansion for as long as they needed. Small twist, Kate and Stryder were friends from birth. Will they become something more or will his cockiness and her shyness get in the way of a beautiful relationship, meant to last?
This may be a short story, but I think it's kind of cute. It does have an ending, it won't just leave you hanging:) Maybe a little tears, I made myself cry, unless I'm just a crybaby:') but it should leave you with a smile :')

"I didn't want a fight." I look down in my lap sadly, "That's one of the reasons why I didn't want to tell you." Chris walks over and sits next to me. He puts an arm around my body, pulling me closer to him. He kisses the top of my head. I feel like it's my fault. Small tears escape the corner of my eyes. "Stop it." Kate was used to dealing with unfair consequences. Having a less than ideal home life and no one else to support her, she had learned to deal with things on her own. She had learned not to feel and especially not to hope. So when someone new comes into her life Kate does the best thing she can think of, she shuts them out. But, after a series of events in the course of one day, they are thrown back together, and Kate is given the chance to explain herself. Explain why she was so guarded and why she had closed herself off in the first place. And maybe along the way Kate learns that things aren't always so bad. That feeling and hoping aren't the worst things in the world. ***Warning: Mention of abuse is included in this story. Please don't read if that is a trigger for you in any way. "As much as l want to show you off and tell everyone to keep 10 meters distance from you because you are mine l won't do that until l earn your trust" he says and l press my lips against his lips shutting him. He takes control without losing any time and pushes me more against the cupboard while his hands make his way to my waist pulling me closer and mine plays with his hair. He bites my lower lip demanding for entrance and l give him that and he wastes no time and slides his tongue inside me and mine runs along his. We finally pull away from each other " You deserved a reward for that" l say while panting and trying to catch my breath. "Oh yeah? Then l will make sure to shove you inside the Janitor's closet every day" [Babysitter is a heartwarming story its a easy life that l can't have but writing this story helped me a lot they have a almost healthy relationship? At least as healthy it can get without being too cringe yes there are misunderstandings but its not too complicated cause l wanted to make it heartwarming not frustrating]Complete
