Cecily's car breaking down in the desert is just the latest in a series of unfortunate events. But a night stranded at an empty gas station wasn't all bad. She comes back from the desert with a new friend. The massive dog she found abandoned in the station was such a gentle, defeated soul, she couldn't bear to leave him behind. Unfortunately, he wasn't the only thing that followed her back. Her tiny rental wasn't built to accommodate the wolfhound sized hybrid, but she's determined to make it work. But as her new friend flourishes, Cecily begins to struggle. Her dreams are haunted by increasingly perverse encounters with the frightening figure of a shadowed being, seemingly set on seducing her. The phantom's nightly visits make it difficult for her to sleep, and as the nightmare's grow more vivid, Cecily can't help but wonder if there is a connection between her new companion and the humiliating, filthy dreams. Each night, as she pants and writhes beneath the phantom's unwanted attention, he whispers the same command..."Wish me real!" She feels danger brewing as the entity grows stronger, and to obey his request and say the words aloud holds the promise of pleasure and the threat of an unknown terror.
