Layla has rotten luck when it comes to love but the rest of her life is going well. ... Or at least it was. 

Layla Takanashi had everything she needed; a good job, a great best friend, and a nice apartment in the city.  A boyfriend would just be icing on the cake. But after a flop of a first date, Layla decides to drown her sorrows at a bar and ends up with something she never would have asked for. A death curse. 

Now Layla finds herself dying in a new way every day with no way to stop it.  She reaches out to Rhys Pembroke, the owner of a local occult bookstore, for help. But she soon finds out that he may be more than she bargained for.
