If you look close enough you can tell when a girl has a broken heart. There's something that has saddened her smile and dulled the shine in her eyes.
This is the case for a young girl named Shadow. Her world is littered with heartache, betrayal and lies. She has always learnt early on to protect herself and only herself, to do whatever it takes to never experience the crushing wave of despair and darkness again.
In the past she has picked herself up from those dark memories, dusted off the ash surrounding her, walking away stronger and undefeated.
But now after 3 years of hiding her past has finally caught her. Shadow must now choose will she continue to hide in the shadows to protect her shattered heart or will she pick up the million fragments and fight for not only the lives of the only people she has ever cared for but for the missing part of her life she has lost?
