Just as he crawled onto the ledge, the smouldering black cloud enveloped them. Heather wrenched away from the heat, Nathan's cries of pain echoing through the cave as he was pried from the ledge and into the blackness of the cloud.

"WHY CAN'T YOU GET IT INSIDE YOUR HEAD?" He trapped my trembling body between his arms and slammed his fist into the wall. I flinch at the sound as I feel tears forming in my eyes.
