"If you were really my best friend, you'd see that you were the only person I've ever wanted to be with. You've been dating everyone else while I'm just sitting around waiting for you to open your damn eyes!" I yelled at him as tears streamed down my cheeks. He looked at me with wide eyes, clearly confused. He then held a sympathetic look on his face when he saw how passionate I was about this entire situation. I can't believe he didn't realize all these years that he was the one I wanted to be with all along. "How was I supposed to know Riley? You didn't tell me shit!" He yelled back at me but still held his same sympathetic look. I shook my head at him, wiping my face as I backed away from him, stepping into a pile of snow in the process. There was already snow on ground but more snow had just started to fall from the sky. "Look, I have to go. My mom wants me home for dinner." I said turning on my heels and walking away towards my house. I didn't even bother looking back but I knew he was still standing there. I wondered if he'd run after me or if he'd sweep me off my feet like I always imagined but no, nothing. Just broken dreams and maybe even a broken friendship. *For hopeless romantics

This story is about a young woman going through her life and meeting people. Among them someone caught her eye and became a precious being into her life. This was written years ago while I splurged on fanfictions so it might feel familiar and cosy. I hope you enjoy this little story. Of course she has fears of her own, but most of the time she acts as if it's nonexistent. Cassiopeia revolves her life around keeping this picture perfect image of herself, the girl with perfect grades, perfect hair, and the perfect life. That's what's always been expected of her, which is why, since the fourth grade, she felt infatuated by Richie Tozier. He's everything she's told not to be, and isn't. It made her wonder how he could do it all so easily, up to the way he speaks, and down to the way he acts. Which is odd to her, because she felt she needs to despise him. But instead, she spent her days in class sneaking glances at him, and getting any chance to talk to him no matter how nervous she gets. Cassiopeia tries her very hardest to hide her crush from the glasses eyed boy. That isn't the case for Richie, though his crush on the girl only started in the sixth grade, he flirts with her at any chance he's get's. Which isn't much, due to their completely separate lives. ... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!
