The dreams weren't the worst part, it was the fact they were exactly the same as her days. There was no escape for Seraphina Luxgrove. But for a Gem this was her reality. She had to blend and co-exist, discovery would be the death of her.
One year ago the Gems fell to the Earth. They destroyed anything and anyone in their path and so it was sanctioned that the children had to be killed. They were reported to be dangerous and unreasonable murderers and so every single one had to die. They left scars in their wake and in the hearts of those that slayed them.
Now, Seraphina and her only friend and other survivor, Kai have little option but to try and blend in with the murderers of their entire race, the Lionhearts. The Lionhearts have tasked themselves with keeping humanity safe from the monsters but their ways are old and times are changing. Can Seraphina and Kai hide in their ranks while keeping their true identities secret? Is concealing themselves really the only way to live?
