In the world of waves and sunny days lives a girl called Layla Garrit. Every morning she wakes up to take her shift as a lifeguard, waiting for the oceans new victim. The ocean's next victim just happened to be a boy from school named Matthew Fields. Sure they share classes together but they have never spoken to one another, barely even acknowledged each other. Until Layla dove in to save Matthew. With Layla's lack of a social life and few friends she expected at least a drop of gratitude from Matthew after she saved him. But he barely said a word. With no thank you, no appreciation and a whole lot of confusion Layla pursues him. Matthew wants nothing to do with this silly little girl because he has a secret. He was never this rough, player boy. But everything changed after... Will Layla be the girl he shares his secret with? Or will it be one of the ordinary girls that find there way in his bed each night? 📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖

Do we truly know those we consider as our family? This is the last year before the beginning of the rest of Cara and Mia lives! Mia Carter still has one more year to spend on Angel Island before leaving, with her best friend, for Montreal to pursue their dream careers. The only problem is that she has to hold on without murdering her nemesis: Austin Coopler. At least, that's what she thought before Cara suddenly vanishes on the evening of the first day of school. No news, no leads, and even stranger, neither the police nor her family seem to care. But Mia is convinced that this disappearance is not a simple runaway case. Caught up in an investigation that goes beyond a mere disappearance, she has no choice but to cooperate with her archenemy and a group of friends who have known each other since childhood. TW - sensitive topics This story contains a lot of references to addiction (alcohol and drugs), and as the chapters progress, they will become more serious. Furthermore, the main character (Mia) suffers from diagnosed chronic anxiety, which I have portrayed to the best of my own experience. All characters, places, and events are fictional (products of my imagination only). Protected story.
