Maybe we shall be born once more, as the very gods we so feared and yet cherished. And if that so happens, then we shall aspire to be better than they were, than we ourselves are, and to create the fairytale our own gods too failed to achieve.

 Then I shall content in knowing that my mind and soul may forever rest beneath the soil we once tainted with our velvet lust for power, and the frosted grasps of our cruelty.

Thousands of centuries ago humans, vampires, and werewolves lived together in harmony, considering one equal to the other. Ruled by a council of three kings, with one from each fullblood race, peace endured for quite some time. All of it was destroyed when many years later the new vampire and werewolf kings both wanted to rule over the kingdom alone. A massive war broke out between the vampires and the werewolves and millions of lives were lost. In a last attempt to stop the war one hundred years later, the land was divided into three kingdoms, the vampires, humans and werewolves. The borders were shut, crossbreeding was forbidden since it created halfbloods and demons and each kingdom was led by the king of their respective race. In secret, however, it was decided that the human king would watch over them all to prevent another war from ever happening again. Since the human kingdom laid inbetween the other two, the humans invented technology to keep all the races at bay and trained the warriors of their army as skilled hunters. As time and generations went by, the kingdoms became more isolated and the common humans forgot that supernatural beings even existed. However, the war had never truly been resolved so the hatred that the vampires and werewolves had for each other endured. When a mysterious murder occurs, chaos breaks out within the kingdoms. A throne must be taken, blood must be shed, a choice must be made and all must be answered by a girl with purple eyes. How much regret and sorrow were laced through his voice made it obvious that he felt like this was his fault, like he had somehow cause this to happen, and while that made no sense I knew there was a reason he felt that way and by the end of this I was going to find that reason out.
