Zara Kingsley is a rebel. Three years after the arrest of her older brother Hayden, Zara becomes closed off to many people including her parents and frequently defies anyone who underestimates her. In doing so, she gains the ability to mind-read; a subtle gift that she tends to use to her advantage and doesn't think much of it. Approaching her final year as a senior at St. Carmine Academy, Zara focuses all of her attention on graduating and moving far away from her family and life in New York City but one night at a gala in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Zara gets pushed to the edge and unleashes a hidden power, nearly collapsing the entire museum. Confused and frightened, Zara's parents enroll her into the Avalon University of MAGIX, a school of wizardry and witchcraft where she excels in her studies towards witchcraft but as Zara gets better at mastering her powers and skills; secrets, lies, and revelations are all put on the line as she discovers the wonders of magic and herself. ____________________________________ Thank you to @witchoria for this amazing cover!!

And the only way to handle a curse, is to get rid of it--which is precisely what the Kingdom has proceeded in doing for centuries--eliminating any being that contained even an ounce of enchanted blood. Zara's lived most of her life with the threat of death hanging over her head. Though this never averted her heightening curiosity about magic, nor the abilities innate within her. And when a powerful, enigmatic Sorcerer comes to her with a proposition, Zara finally sees her chance to embrace the curse she was born with. It was a chance laced with precarity and destruction, but a chance nonetheless...
