His Secret, Her Surrender

I look up at him, a single tear escaping. He cups my face in his big, warm hand, and wipes the tear away with his thumb. Before I know what's happening, he swoops down and kisses where the tear fell.

My breath hitches in my throat as he continues the small, feather-light kissed along my cheek, down to my jaw, until he's hovering a breath away from my lips.

"Tell me to stop," he whispers so softly, I almost didn't hear it.

"No." And with that answer, his lips were on mine.
