14 year old Marinette dupain-cheng is a well known and feared criminal at the Cesairè asylum for the criminally insane. She goes by the name ladybug and is known as a one of the most dangerous criminals ever. Adrien Agreste, a writer and  brother to Marinette's phsyciatrist, Dr.Camylla Agreste falls in love with the psycho. The feeling was unexpected, but what now? Would they fall for each other or would his love for this criminal die just like her black heart? Will Marinette learn to embrace the humanity that she'd abandoned - and the confusing emotions that come with it - for so long, or will she continue down the path of insanity? Will Marinette be able to find clarity in the dystopia that she'd isolated herself from, or will she succumb to the darkness and remain trapped in her miserable world of red and black?
