At the end of just another ordinary day's work, Isabel's commute is hijacked by metal horrors calling themselves - Daleks.
She and her fellow bus-riders are put to work clearing an empty lot in the middle of Albuquerque, guarded by mindless men, threatened with death.
Their only hope: A strange little man calling himself the Doctor...

Trusting the Doctor is the craziest thing Isabel has ever done. But when it pays off, she must choose to trust him again and dive into a desperate effort to stop a Dalek invasion and save the world - or go back to life as she's always known it, for however long they all have left.

One thing is certain: Live or die, nothing will ever be the same.

This is my first and only complete effort at fan-fiction! It's a few years old, so apologies in advance for outdated technology references. And the somewhat clunky writing...
The Doctor is Patrick Troughton's.
The main character is Isabel Thompson - a proposed traveling companion of my own invention.
The villains are the Daleks.
Enjoy!

✨️WATTYS 2023 SHORTLIST + AMBYS Top Pick, Science Fiction! ✨️ | Gio, a man jailed for a crime he didn't commit, becomes an augmented human in exchange for his freedom, only to question his sacrifice when he becomes thirsty for revenge. ***** The plan was simple: Go in through the front doors, demand the money from each of the drawers, and escape with the getaway car before the cops arrived. That plan crumbled in less than five minutes. Giovanni only took part in the robbery to pay for his daughter's kidney transplant. But after he was arrested, then sentenced to life, he lost it all. He wouldn't see his daughter grow, start school, or fall in love. He'd miss every step of her life while wasting away in prison with what was left of his. So, when Paxton, a blossoming cybernetic company, approached his cell with a proposition, Giovanni didn't say no. In exchange for becoming their experiment, he'd get to see the sunlight outside prison walls. He'd get to see his daughter's smiling face. And he'd get to find his "friends" who ran away with his freedom. *** AWARDS: ⭐️First Place - Mystery/Thriller - Punk Rock Awards 2023 ✨️WATTYS 2023 SHORTLIST ⭐ Editor's Pick September 2022 ⭐ Editor's Pick August 2023 ⭐ Featured: @Wattpad's Unlock Science Fiction ⭐ Featured: @adultfiction "Kills and Thrills" ⭐️ Featured #FreeThePOC ⭐️ Featured on @mystery - Mystery/Thriller ⭐️ Featured on @crime "Detective & Crime Featured Stories" ⭐️ Featured @BadassReads "The Rebels" ⭐️ Featured on @action - action stories ⭐ Featured: @Creators "Siri play "Backstabber" by Kesha: Stories of Betrayal" A Scifi-thriller ◇ COMPLETED ROUGH DRAFT ** Content Warning -- this story does contain swearing and violence **

The Final Test

13 parts Complete

Earth was overtaken by the Calumnia ten years ago and if it weren't for the alien Occisio race who saved the remnants of humanity, Indi's race would have gone extinct. Now, at the age of sixteen, Indi and the other surviving children are about to complete their training and return to Earth to kill the monster that destroyed their world and killed their parents. However, the children on the Occisio's spaceship have been dismissed one by one in training tests and only a few of them remain. Will Indi prove himself skilled enough to become a soldier? Or will he fail humanity as his parents did? This short story (in 13 parts) is a love letter to fans of Ender's Game and Maze Runner. (I may eventually turn this into a novel but for now, I hope you enjoy this 10,000 word story about hope and overcoming one's weakness.)
