Heaton has always been intrigued with exspiras, a ghost-like species that coexists with humans. Exspiras are creatures that have a powerful soul, which some humans seek to collect for their own selfish power and benefit, and since they are weak in their ghost forms, they resort to take control of humans. After an exspira implants itself into a human, it takes five days for the human's mind to erode, and afterwards the exspira has full control of the human body. In this state, an exspira is able to use its phasm, the energy power of the exspira, to its true extent. Heaton and his club, the exspira discovery club want to learn more about this interesting species that lives in their world. When Heaton and his friends finally meet an exspira, they're thrown into a crazy world where exspiras and humans are at war, and Heaton and his friends are caught in the middle of it all.
