This story line is simply one of many that portrays the life of two future lovers on a quest to save their state from undergoing a period of "death"; a society in California where, city by city, everyone at the eligible age of fifteen is being wiped of their memory completely.
There is no going back.
Trystan and Dimitri are Recallers, those who resist the "Treatment", the alternate and preferred word for this particular surgery.
Together, they enter a secret organization called the Survivors; the official name being Impedance. There, the duo train to become qualified soldiers of the resistance. There, they learn many new secrets and discoveries about the organization's past. There, both teenagers meet new ties to their families they never knew existed. Or was never told about.
There, they thought that they were swathed in safety.
They were wrong.
Danger and betrayal lurk at every corner. And in the most unexpected places.

The Revelation by dstry0515
5 parts Complete Mature
In the beginning, there was death. The darkness flows from hues of purple and orange, the moon rising to kiss the sun's rays one last time as the darkest cloud of night I've ever seen falls over our tiny haven. I catch Will's face from the side of my vision and my heart tightens slightly. The tick of his jaw wouldn't be noticeable for anyone but me. His best friend, his lifeline. A solemn tear forms in my eye as he wipes his face, another tear falling for the family he lost. I love him. Utterly and desperately so, but, there's nothing I can do about that. The ultimate forbidden fruit, if you will. I reach to comfort him and he doesn't respond. I open my mouth to speak and he looks my way, but the gleam in his dark brown eyes hits the moonlight just right and I fall. My voice escapes my throat and I can't do it. I've tried for years to tell him. 10 years, actually. All this time, I hopelessly remained devoted to a ghost who had given the best of himself to a fiery red-head with a sassy personality and the body of a supermodel. For 10 years, I held to the desperate thought that maybe, just maybe, he'd be someone I could count on. Instead, I watched him marry my best friend, smiled as they welcomed their son. Stood, holding that beautiful boy as his mother was in the first round of executions after the beginning of the Revelation. Helped heal Will's wounds in the aftermath. Cried, clutching the tear-stained shirt of my best friend as his son took his last staggering breath in that first harsh winter. The guilt of my emotions crawl through me. My heart twisting in regret, guilt, desperation, and grief. I loved my best friend. She was so much more than that; she was my family. In this dystopian quick read, join a group of people desperate to recapture their freedom and end a tyrant's reign.

I Remember

30 parts Complete

Love, Memory, and the War They Tried to Erase I Remember A dystopian survival-romance novel "They rewrote his memories. She rewrote the ending." In the Arena, forgetting is survival. The Protocol erases memories, rewrites identities, and silences emotion - all in the name of order. But Han Se-Ra is a glitch in their perfect system. She wasn't supposed to remember her past. She wasn't supposed to remember him. Kim Min-Jun was once the boy who walked her home in the rain and called her "Star." Now he's Agent 07-J - a silent enforcer trained to suppress resistance and erase the people they once were. He doesn't remember her. But his hands still hesitate when she bleeds. As the system tightens its grip, Se-Ra writes her memories into hidden journals and cracked walls, determined to hold onto what the Arena wants her to forget. When fate throws her back into Min-Jun's path, their fractured connection becomes the key to exposing the truth behind the Protocol - and maybe, to remembering what love really means. But in a place where names are triggers and feelings are fatal, remembering someone can be the most dangerous act of all. I Remember is a soft-angst, survival-driven romance set in a collapsing dystopia where memory is weaponized, love is forbidden, and the strongest resistance is knowing who you are - even when they try to erase you.
