Dark Mood Woods: A Short Story

Kimmy and her best friend, Peyton had been friends for most of their lives.
One day, Kimmy returns to her house after a morning run to find her house disturbed.
From here, she begins to uncover the truth of events which transpired over a year prior when her father was gunned down in his own home.
The truth is strange and leads Kimmy to question everything and everyone she knows.

I wrote this as a challenge for my YouTube channel.
I used some basic prompts and randomized elements such as the character descriptions, and the inciting incident.
Be warned that the story deals with a little bit of murder, betrayal, and shady things transpiring- affairs and such... I don't describe it in great detail, but it's still there.
