Dinner Party

It was a classic story. Perfect boy meets perfect girl, prom king and queen. They get married right out of high school and buy a house at 18.After three years they had a child, a lovely little boy named Beck, and he became their whole world. That's when boy decided to tell girl his secret, the one dark thing he had never told her for fear that she would run away, only to find that she was accepting, and loving despite it.

As time went on, that secret evolved into tradition, and soon the whole family was doing the one thing he had always been scared to tell her about. Beck became the stereotypical bad boy, but deep down he was just doing everything he did for love of his family.

Hallie was just like everyone else. Sort of. She always blended in, making good grades but never standing out, living what she considered to be a bland life. Her weekend plans usually stayed the same as well, seeing as how she'd only ever had two friends in her entire life, Jacob and Isadora. Throughout the years, the three of them grew together and blossomed as people, though never straying from their tight-knit circle.

One day, a new kid transfers into their school, a bad boy named Beck who'd been kicked out of four schools in two years, or so they said. Hallie took no interest in him, and expected him to not take an interest in her, seeing as how he could have any girl- or guy- in their school, but boy, was she wrong.

Beck does take an interest in her, and somehow their lives become more intertwined than she could ever imagine. Dark secrets will be uncovered, hearts broken, and love lost. Throw in some cannibals, and it's a party.
