Tyler and I have grown up in DEMA, talking through the wired fence for years, sneaking visits with eachother to talk about books, and share music that we have discovered. Now, after many months of plotting, we've finally attempted our escape. Both of us thought that once we were out of DEMA, we would be out of it for good, but little did know that along the way, we would uncover many hidden secrets about the origins of DEMA, as well as its citizens. We also didn't realize how many others had been wanting to escape as well, which caused them to work together to form a group of rebel escapees, the Banditos.Complete
The High Road
Dema/Trench Lore, diving into everyday life in Trench with the Banditos, on their path to free Dema. Lita and the rest of the Banditos are led by the Torchbearer, Josh. Their mission is to liberate Dema from the Bishops, but they first need to figure out how to expand the rebellion within the city. In the meantime, the Banditos task themselves with helping more citizens escape the city and adjust to life in Trench. When mysterious letters are discovered throughout the city, some citizens begin to question their commitment to Vialism, and even the Bishops themselves. Nobody knows who this 'Clancy' person is, but the Torchbearer knows how valuable such an ally could be to their cause, and he's determined to get them on their side. *Authors note* This story follows the canon timeline as closely as I'm able, starting from just before HeavyDirtySoul and ending after the events of Levitate. If all goes well, there will be a sequel that delves into what the Banditos do during the SAI era and beyond. I've based several of my characters on real-life people, as well as borrowed some names. Lita is based on Debby Ryan, and Hadley is based on Jenna Joseph. I changed their names for creative reasons, but I didn't want there to be any confusion about who they are meant to be.
