Misled

{Sections of the first scene}

"Zara Broker?"

I looked up. Alarmed, with my hands on my knees I scanned the area carefully making sure that I didn't miss out any significant or essential details. Once I examined the scene, I responded to the male standing infront of me.

I stood up, still shaken from the prior events.

"Please Miss Broker, follow me." The doctor urged

I was still anxious and I must admit that it was difficult to foresee the forthcoming incident. There was no one else in the waiting room which really started to fire bullets of concern straight up to my brain.

He smiled whilst he drew a curtain across the room and vanished behind it.

Me, accepting his straightforward request, sat down carelessly on the brown armchair which was placed just before the door. For a long time, I had remained in my seat impatiently up to the point where nearly 6 minutes had passed. My heart was beating faster and quicker.

By now, my breath was pacing.

I glanced up at the clock and realised that plenty of minutes have passed. I was lacking air. This is taking too long. I remained calm and focused on my assignment.

"Doctor Lowes?" I gasped

"Is everything alright in there?" I added

I reached for the curtain and swung it across the room.

Doctor Lowes had his eyes gently closed eyes. His facial expression was now so peaceful. He looked to be asleep now. I could have believed it if not for all of the blood.

Nevertheless, how could I miss such a situation when I was sitting approximatly 7 meters away from the murder target?

I stopped. It hit me. The trail of thoughts and images flashed into my head...
