Hiruzen Sarutobi was running low on both options and time, meaning he was feeling just desperate enough to maybe consider doing something so idiotic that he was sure his late sensei would be rolling in his grave. Needless to say, things weren't exactly going well.
What was his idea exactly? To release Konoha's most dangerous criminal, take said criminal under his command, and have him take the Chūnin Senbatsu Shiken to prove a point to both Iwa and Kumo that they were not as weak as the rumours (which were true for the most part) made them out to be.
Was he positive that this plan wouldn't blow up in his face? Absolutely not. But did the distraction grant him enough time to maybe think up another way to deal with the war that he felt was going to break out soon? Yes. And did he have enough foolish hope that the Chi no Dorobō, Uzumaki Naruto, might be able to return to his pre-genocidal self? ...Maybe.
But maybe was enough for him.

Kakashi x Itachi (Novel-Edition) - English
Hatake Kakashi is on his way home from a mission, when he gets kidnapped by Akatsuki. Kisame and Itachi were instructed to gather for the realization of their plans advantageous information which only Kakashi posses. While he is a prisoner of Akatsuki, he gets to know the inscrutable Uchiha Itachi, which makes him doubt the gruesome prejudices he had heard about him. As time passes on, both of them are getting closer and they have to assess if there can be a joint future for them. Notes: I have been thinking about whether I should release this story or not for a long time. Actually, I only supposed to write it for me and a friend. But after some coaxing of hers, I experienced it as a waste, too, to just let it spoil in the endless archive of my phone, which is why I would like to share it now. The story goes on signifantly longer than usual Wattpad-storys do and I have written it in a novel-like style. Time and again, there are exciting scenes between Kakashi and Itachi. So it will never get boring! I tried really hard to connect everything logically and think that I did a pretty good job. Oh, and the story is happening at the time between Naruto Classic and Naruto Shippuden by the way. What I should mention additionally is: As you have probably already noticed, I am not a native English speaker. So please forgive me smaller mistakes. Long story short, the young teenagers had entered a drinking contest and ended up sleeping with each other at a local motel. Naruto returned to Konoha the next month. But as fate would have it, she became pregnant and realizing that those elders would take her child whom would most likely gain the Sharingan, she fled from Konoha. Prank gone wrong or Good !?
Naruto was running away from a random genin he had pranked , gets nearly yoinked by said prank victim sheds his clothes to avoid certain beating , gets in a certain house. the rest is history, naruhina , cracky with logic fic ;) my second ever fic! Naruto pulls a prank on a random genin named Tadashi. Tadashi gets pissed, chases him through Konoha, and in the chaos Naruto crashes into the Hyūga compound. He scrambles, slips, trips.. . and gets knocked out cold in Hinata's bedroom. When Hinata finds him, it looks really bad-he's unconscious on her bed, and thanks to Tadashi burning his jacket as revenge, Naruto's down to his undershirt/undergarments. Hinata is panicking when Hiashi walks in. Hiashi, being the manipulative chessmaster he is, takes a picture and runs straight to the Hokage like: "My daughter's honor has been compromised. The solution? Marriage." Hiashi's eyes, calm but piercing, lingered on them both. He turned to Naruto "let me get you up to speed son" Hiashi gave the scroll to Naruto "By the decree of hokage..." His eyes looked heavy as he began like he had made a mistake "you Naruto Uzumaki have been married to Hinata Hyuga due to scandalous position i found you two in...while i admit it was my mistake to assume"
