Esmerelda was always a curious child, but magic was taken out of her life at a young age, just like her parents were. Esmeralda, a girl taken under the wing of the notorious assassin king, Nikolai. Unbeknownst to Esme, Nikolai was preparing her to become his successor, and become the Queen of assassins, despite the scorn placed around her being an assassin already. Esme tried her best to become the best she could be. To both please Nikolai and to earn the respect of the people around her, no matter the costs.
