At the age of 27, Charlie is not too sure what he is meant to be looking for, but he is sure that by now he should have settled on some sort of career path, traveled somewhere that you cannot get to in a car or perhaps be in a relationship with 'the one'. But for some reason, he finds himself unable to commit to any of these things.
His friends say he is just overthinking it all.
That is until one day where everything just begins to fall into place, and it may be all thanks to one particular boy, but he refuses to admit it.

Though it does go into romantic territory, which will be recurring throughout, it delves deeper into the respective lives of the main characters and how they are both affected by the home they grew up in despite having vastly different arrangements. Extending to how they both respond, have clashing personalities, relationships with addiction and their peers, and constant conflicts with themselves or others, there's rarely downtime reading through Sage or Aspen. With that, this focus includes all the other characters, who deal with their own struggles and individual personalities, but, at the end of the day, lands on them being teens.
