Today, I had a dream.
You, mom and I were at the beach, basking under the sun rays. We watch the waves lap lazily against the sand. Your fingers are entwined with Mom's and her head is resting on your shoulder.
All of a sudden, the waves grow in ferocity and they become bigger and bigger, as though they want to swallow us but always change their mind in the last second and recede.
One of the waves, however has made a decision. The wave latches onto your toes, dragging you towards the direction of the ocean. You scream for help but Mom and I simply stare at the trails your fingers leave in the sand.
Your screams stop as suddenly as they started and everything is quiet once again. There are no traces left of your existence.
Oh daddy, how I wish dreams could become reality.
