New to old earth Saki is unsure what she will find. So many years have passed since the humans left it. A toxic wasteland... now only worth scavenging every few years for plant growth. New seeds for the scientists back on the Pod. The pod was all that was left of the giant space station. A few hundred survivors waiting to be rescued by the Martian planeteers. They have been stuck in limbo almost 50 years . 
The waiting was killing more of the survivors then anything else. Saki's trip today would hopefully at least bring back some treasures of old to entertain them.
