Zero Sum
Humanity is not alone in the universe. More specifically Earth is not alone. It is an age of wonder for humanity. For all but a few. Our history has been altered, according to one who has visions of the fractured world that could have been but never was. The way history would have played out without an intergalactic coalition of humans visiting Earth. And he cannot decide whether the advanced human's arrival is really all that it seems. Whether we would have been better off as things are now, or with how his visions tell him things ought to have been. There are multiple worlds colonized by a vast space faring technologically and biologically enhanced human race all across the galaxy. Earth is just one of many of such colonies. At some point in our forgotten past Earth was cut off from our intergalactic neighbors and decides to fend for herself. Later we lose ourselves to infighting and nationalism instead of being true to our nature of being a space dwelling, intergalactic human cooperative. Now our space cousins are reestablishing contact with Earth. Bringing their superpower enabled, technological mastery of science so advanced as to seem supernatural. Eliminating slavery, wars, crime, diseases, climate shifts, and currency, with their arrival. Offering the promise of entry into a thriving united galactic empire. (I am dropping in from time to time updating the story with fresh ideas as they pop into my head this is so very much a first draft I have not even decided on names for some of the characters or different factions of humans that are to be encountered from beyond our solar system)
Flame in the Dark
What was once a bright and happy world. Heroes keeping the peace. Soon plunged into darkness by the Villains. No more Heroes are left, no more law enforcement left to resist, leaving the villains to rule. They have created a system for the unwilling people to follow. It only takes one to break a system. We follow our hero who has had enough of the villains. But he'll have to free one area at a time. (Know that I'm doing the whole irl locations thing to the best of my ability. Also note that this story has some disturbing events that isn't suitable to young audiences.)
Runaway
I ran, and I ran, and I ran, trying to get as far away from the mansion as possible. I was too weak to shift, but my determination kept me running. The house disappeared from my line of vision, and I was soon surrounded by greens. I didn't know where I was going, and at this moment, I didn't care. I was officially a fugitive. Angry screams followed by howls echoed through the forest: they noticed my absence. I let out an airy laugh. I was a runaway, but I was free. Finally free. -- [Completed + Under Major Editing] Some comments that I really appreciated: "please continue. it sounds really interesting!!!" ~GalaxyWolf78 "AHSJSKZUZIDNANSN?? *^^^^^*" ~Sarah-Senpaii "MORE MORE I NEED MOAR OF MY DAILY VITAMINS" ~Sarah-Senpaii "Love this book" ~DisneyisEternal "Awwweeeeeeeeeee sooooooooo ccuuuuuttteeeeeee aaannnddd AWESOME!" ~CrownofSpades "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!" ~dustbunny101 "SAVAGE" ~TrustMe_ImFine "omg no way" ~dimatabbara "*sighs* " ~lolitscherish "Lol. The Mad Scientist Girl of the Hero's Party Is Only Here for the Materials
"Nothing has value. Everything is useful." Dear reader, have you ever heard of the Transforming Hero genre? You know the one- average guy (either a cinnamon roll or absolute filth) gets a transformation device, shouts something cool, and BAM! He's kicking evil's ass while surrounded by explosions and collectible power-ups designed to milk your wallet! Yeah. That genre. So imagine my excitement when I, an unapologetic tokusatsu nerd, get flattened by the infamous Truck-kun and wake up in a fantasy world full of magic and not urban fantasy... Also, I reincarnated as an elf girl with a monstrous mana pool and long-ass lifespan... PERFECT! Because my wish wasn't to be the hero. No no no. My dream is to be the crazy scientist behind the hero. The one making the flashy transformation belts, overpowered weapons, and seasonal collectible gadgets that make kids scream and parents cry. And thanks to my elf perks, I can finally build all that! One catch though... I need high-quality materials. Like "boss-tier monster drops" level. So I join the Hero's Party to harvest rare loot. unfortunately the so-called "hero" is a walking red flag. Super OP? Yes. Handsome? Sure. Morally bankrupt manipulator who brainwashed an entire harem using his Cheat? Absolutely. Luckily, I'm immune- probably because I died bricked up over transforming gadgets and people in suits rather than the people... and not because a certain title. There this one poor sap who is just the luggage carrier now. (He's carrying my stuff too- heaviest bag, no regrets.) Apperently he stayed to watch over his childhood friend? GHAHAHAAHA. HOW AMUSING! So I made a choice. That guy? He's getting my first transformation belt. And he's going to use it to wipe that smug, sparkly grin off Mr. Blessed's face.
