It's been a long time since our group of demigods have seen each other, and, in all honesty, if it weren't for guilt trips or pressure from their loved ones, most of them probably wouldn't go to the reunion in the first place.
After all, they're all grown up now.
Percy has been away from camp for nearly a decade now, and while he's still healing from heartbreak and still struggling with the anxiety and depression that he seemed to develop due to his hardships from camp, but thanks to a guilt trip on Annabeth'part he agrees to go to the reunion. While he doesn't talk to many people anymore, it's an excuse to see Grover and Annabeth; the two people he still talks to.
It's a good distraction, after all, even if doesn't work.
Because at the end of the day, Percy would kill a man to get one more hug from his now ex-boyfriend. To ease him into the demigod world, because even after three years, Percy believes that he was the one.
If only he knew how much his boyfriend missed him as well.
TW: mental health struggles (depression/anxiety, no descriptive sh)
Percy Jackson is not a good person.
At least, not anymore.
Percy has been through a lot. Annabeth is dead and his few remaining friends are scattered across America.
Percy's been loyal and heroic his whole life, he's always done what the gods asked. And they have only ever repaid him with pain and indifference. So now it's his turn. His longing for justice is growing and the more bitter he becomes, the more it sinks in that without Annabeth, he has nothing left to fight for. But then again, there's nothing holding him back.
Revenge is something that has long been above Percy. But at the end of the day, at least it's something to fight for.
The gods have forgotten that loyalty goes both ways. It's about time someone reminded them what happens when you lose the trust of a Demigod who rules on loyalty.
